The idea that it was homosex specifically came around during the Dark Ages, I think. Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be destroyed before the 'gay stuff' happened... the sin they were being condemned for had nothing to do with that event, they had already been condemned. Now, I'm certain that your Jerry Falwell types will insist that we can 'assume' that the sin had to do with homosexuality, but in order to insist on that belief, they have to ignore the passages in the Bible that talk about the sin of Sodom, which was being unkind to the poor, etc...

Anyway, I've never thought that that story was a good one to use in arguing against homosexuality, but still, I can't believe I never noticed that!JJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14689406528121267867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17540148.post-1137729985183352922006-01-19T21:06:00.000-07:002006-01-19T21:06:00.000-07:00Even as a little Assemblies of God girl who was st...Even as a little Assemblies of God girl who was still hoping her bisexuality was "just a phase," I figured something had to be wrong with this story when the most moral man in the city was offering up his daughters to be raped.CrackerLilohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18176388186521154104noreply@blogger.com
